Text or email a couple of shots of the damage — one close up, one from a few steps back. Tell me the make, model and colour.
Usually the same day. That's the price — it doesn't change when I get there unless the damage turns out to be something different to the photos, and I'd tell you before starting either way.

Plenty of people offer mobile scratch and dent work. Not many of them served a trade apprenticeship in panel beating.
It matters most on paint. Colour matching, blending into the next panel, knowing how deep you can cut before you're through the clear coat — that's the difference between a repair you can't find and one that goes cloudy or lifts at the edges after a couple of summers.
It also matters for knowing what not to touch. I do cosmetic work. If I look at your car and think there's something structural, or the damage goes deeper than the panel, I'll tell you straight and point you somewhere that can do it properly. I'd rather send you elsewhere than do a job I'm not the right person for.
